Thank you for supporting the Yale New Haven Health #GiveHealthy virtual food drive! Our drive will run from March 1 - 31, 2024 to coincide with National Nutrition Month.  National Nutrition Month, celebrated in March, stresses the importance of a blanced diet and exercise.  #GiveHealthy enables people to donate fresh fruits, vegetables and other healthy food to improve their communities.

The #GiveHealthy virtual platform enables us to partner with hunger relief organizations in our local communities across Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York. People facing hunger are at a higher risk for diet-related disease, such as obesity, type-2 diabetes and heart disease. Individuals with chronic disease need access to nutritious foods. 

YNHHS’ drive was developed and organized through a system-wide collaboration between the Office of Health Equity & Community Impact, Community & Government Relations, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, and Food and Nutrition departments. All Yale New Haven Health employees and medical staff are welcome to participate.
