Yale New Haven Health offers orthopedics services on the North Haven Medical Campus. Patients can receive comprehensive and coordinated care from our expert team of specialists from Yale Medicine and Yale New Haven Health.

Skilled specialists diagnose and treat all conditions such as joint pain, back pain, sports injuries and more. We offer innovative non-surgical therapies as well as advanced, minimally invasive surgical options. We are committed to providing each patient with expert and compassionate care focused on healing and a speedy return to the life you love.

Walk-in Orthopedic Care

When you need orthopedic care right away, Yale New Haven Health’s skilled medical staff is ready to provide a wide range of services and treatments for children and adults with non-life threatening injuries. We provide orthopedic services for adult and pediatric patients ages 5+. No appointment required.

Conditions we evaluate at our walk-in clinic:

• Foot and ankle: Achilles tendon tears, sprains, fractures, plantar fasciitis and tendonitis
• Hand and wrist: tendonitis, fractures, carpal tunnel, trigger finger and sprains
• Hip and pelvis: muscle injuries, hip labral tears, arthritis and trochanteric bursitis
• Knee: ligament injuries, meniscal tears and arthritis
• Shoulder and elbow: rotator cuff injuries, shoulder bursitis, tendon ruptures, fractures and tennis/golfers’ elbow
• Spine: neck/back strains and sciatica

During your visit, one of our experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) will evaluate your symptoms and use X-ray imaging, if needed, to help diagnosis and develop a treatment plan. After your visit, our team will assist in scheduling any diagnostic procedures, advanced images and/or follow-up appointments that you may need.

An appointment with one of our orthopedic specialists during regular business hours is required if you are experiencing a workers’ compensation case, liability claim, auto accident injury/claim, have been evaluated at another facility for your current issue, have a chronic orthopedic condition or are looking for a second opinion for surgery. The orthopedic walk-in clinic is unable to treat concussions, head and face injuries, joint infections, large joint dislocations, neck or back trauma, open fractures, post-op infections/wounds or rib injuries.
