Greenwich Hospital’s Internal Medicine Residency Program expands

Greenwich, CT (August 1, 2018) – Greenwich Hospital’s Internal Medicine Residency Program has expanded with the addition of two new physicians.

Nicole Tyer, MD joins Greenwich Hospital as the assistant program director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. After receiving a bachelor in science in biochemistry from UCLA and a medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Tyer completed an internship, residency and a chief residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center followed by one year of clinical endocrinology at UCLA Medical Center. Before joining GH, Dr. Tyer held an academic appointment at Weill Cornell College of Medicine in New York City. In addition to her work as a general internist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell Medical Associates, Dr. Tyer has extensive experience teaching medical students and residents.

Alison Thompson, MD, will assume the responsibilities of chief resident for the 2018-2019 academic year. Before joining Greenwich Hospital, Dr. Thompson was a third-year resident in the Traditional Internal Medicine Residency Program at Yale New Haven Hospital, where she was known as an outstanding clinician and a leader of resident teams. She is a graduate of Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA.

“The caliber of the new physicians who have joined our staff underscores Greenwich Hospital’s commitment to train the next generation of physicians,” said Charles Seelig, MD, director of Medical Education at the hospital.
