New Haven, CT (April 21, 2020) – Today marked a significant milestone for our communities. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Yale New Haven Health (YNHHS) has discharged more than 1,000 COVID positive patients after being treated at one its hospitals. The vast majority of these patients go back home to be with their families. Others are discharged to a rehabilitation facility where they can focus on their full recovery.
YNHHS is also seeing that numbers of admissions are slowing and, in some areas, dropping around the state of Connecticut thanks to our community and the talented members of frontline staffs at all hospitals throughout the state. Please continue to practice social distancing and wear your masks when you are in public. If you have any questions about COVID-19 or your personal health, the YNHHS Call Center is open seven days a week and staffed with world class physicians and caregivers and can be reached at 833-ASK-YNHH.
