Cardiac Rehabilitation

The Heart and Vascular Center offers an outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at six locations through Yale New Haven Health to help patients transition to an active life following a cardiovascular event. Each of our cardiac rehabilitation locations is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

The Heart and Vascular Center offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary cardiovascular genetics program for adults with increased risk for inherited cardiovascular disease.

The Heart and Vascular Center's Comprehensive Heart Failure Program provides extensive guideline-based management and therapies to patients with heart failure. Our physicians are experts in the field, with skill and knowledge in the most current and promising array of treatment options for people living with advanced heart failure.

Inpatient Cardiac Care

Cardiac patients receive the highest standard of specialized care, treatment and monitoring in our Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Units (MSICU) as well as our Intermediate Care (telemetry) Units.

Women's Heart and Vascular Program

The Women's Heart and Vascular Program provides state-of-the-art cardiac care for women with heart disease, as well as expert screening of women at risk for heart disease.

Heart disease remains the number one killer of American women and there is a great need for specialized care directed at women's cardiac needs. The Women's Heart and Vascular Program is dedicated to screening, educating and treating women at risk for, or with established heart disease.

Recognition & Awards in the Treatment of Cardiovascular Medicine

Yale New Haven Health Heart and Vascular Center is the first and only healthcare system in Connecticut to be certified by the ACC for transcatheter valve replacement procedures, offered at Bridgeport and Yale New Haven hospitals.

Each of our six Cardiac Rehabilitation Program locations is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

The Yale Adult Congenital Heart Program, part of the Heart and Vascular Center, is accredited by the Adult Congenital Heart Association.
