David W. Louis, MD

David Louis, MD, FACC, FSCAI, a board-certified interventional cardiologist, manages the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Louis believes in providing patient-centered care using up-to-date guideline-directed therapy. He is a firm believer in a patient-centered and holistic approach, with the goal of improving not just their cardiovascular condition, but their quality of life as well. As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Louis sub-specializes in performing minimally invasive procedures (heart catheterization and stenting) to treat heart attack and open blocked arteries. Dr. Louis received his medical degree from the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, Pennsylvania and completed his residency and fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. His research has been published in top-tier medical journals. Dr. Louis is board-certified in internal medicine, general cardiology, and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE), and nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC). He is a member of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Gold Humanism Honor Society.
