Tania Sierra, MD

Dr. Sierra grew up in Florida and received her undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She completed her medical degree and OB/GYN residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. She furthered her surgical training with a 3-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Massachusetts. She is a board-certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist, with specialized surgical training to help women with urogynecologic issues. She has a particular interest in minimally invasive pelvic surgery and the treatment of prolapse, incontinence, and pelvic dysfunction. She has expertise with the daVinci Robotic Surgical System. She has authored numerous publications and book chapters, as well as presented at national meetings. Dr. Sierra is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecologists (ABOG) and is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ACOG). She is natively fluent in Spanish and English.
Dr. Sierra has participated in numerous international health missions, providing free surgeries to women in Honduras, Liberia, and Rwanda.
