APPs from throughout the health system received special awards at their annual recognition dinner, sponsored by the YNHH Medical Staff Engagement Committee.
At its annual APP Award and Recognition Celebration in November, Yale New Haven Health presented APPs with awards for excellence in 10 categories.
“This event celebrates all the APPs for providing exceptional, compassionate care,” said event organizer Vanna Dest, APRN, director of Oncology APPs, Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH). “Their dedication to patient care and improving health outcomes changes lives every day. Their resilience, compassion and the countless ways they uplift patients and their caregivers are unwavering.”
This year’s honorees, who were nominated by their peers, are:
- Clinical Leader Award: Amy Barile Pugliese, APRN, YNHH; Katelyn O’Connor, PA-C, Greenwich Hospital; Kelsey Bestall, PA-C Lawrence + Memorial (L+M) Hospital
- Distinguished Leader Award: Kelsey Cameron, PA-C, YNHH; Lisa Henderson, APRN, Greenwich Hospital
- Outstanding Newcomer Award: Lindsey Brown, PA-C, YNHH; Jamie Ringel, CRNA, Bridgeport Hospital; Kayla Johnson, APRN, L+M Hospital -Northeast Medical Group (NEMG)
- Mentorship Award: Susan D’Agostino, APRN, YNHH - NEMG
- Humanitarian Award: Maria Van Gelder, APRN, YNHH
