On March 25, Yale New Haven Health CEO Marna Borgstrom will retire, after a 43-year career marked by significant clinical advances, unprecedented challenges and, most of all, constant change.
Under Marna’s leadership, YNHHS has pioneered treatments and research that have improved – and saved – countless lives. Yale New Haven has grown from one hospital into an organization of many different delivery networks that bring advanced care to residents from Westchester County, NY, to southern Rhode Island. A respected leader, Marna has helped drive regional and national efforts to improve health care for all.
At the same time, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to people, including YNHHS patients and their loved ones; employees, physicians and volunteers; and members of the communities the health system serves.
“I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to serve this System and the people in our communities for more than four decades,” Marna said in announcing her retirement. “Words cannot express my pride in and love for this Health System and the extraordinary people who answer the call every day on behalf of our patients and their families.”
Thank you, Marna, for your leadership, dedication and humanity. As you and your family open the next chapter, all of us at YNHHS wish you the best!
