Yale New Haven Health showed its appreciation for employees and medical staff members during the second annual 10 Days of Gratitude May 8 - 17. The celebration included Nurses Week May 6 - 12 and Hospital Week May 12 - 18.
The 10 Days featured food, fun and inspiration with events such as leader rounding, a motivational speaker, wellness tips and webinars, music and pet therapy, Reiki and more. Employees enjoyed special meals and snacks, daily prize drawings and gifts.
This year, Human Resources launched Recognition Connection, an intranet site that makes it easy for YNHHS leaders, employees and medical staff members to honor others in the organization. The site, which is available year-round, includes “Kudos” – a less-formal tool used to thank others, and “Raves,” a more-formal honor tied to the Standards of Professional Behavior. During the 10 Days of Gratitude, the site also allows managers to nominate employees for the Excellence In Action award. Watch for future communications about the site, which you can find by searching for “Recognition Connection” on the employee intranet.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s 10 Days of Gratitude a success!
