The next session of YNHH’s Pharmacy Technician Training program begins Sept. 18. The 23-week program is a hybrid course model that includes both self-paced online and onsite experiential instruction. The Yale Center for Healthcare Simulation will receive a $1.25 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) learning for underrepresented high school students in New Haven. The five-year grant will support the simulation center’s Simulation Academy at Yale – Youth Entering Science (SAY-YES!) project. The project includes fostering mentoring communities of Yale undergraduates, medical students and Yale New Haven Health residents to work with SAY-YES! students.
