Peter M. Glazer, MD, PhD, chief of Therapeutic Radiology at Smilow Cancer Hospital, has been elected to the National Academy of Medicine. Dr. Glazer is chair, department of Therapeutic Radiology; the Robert E. Hunter Professor of Therapeutic Radiology; and a professor of genetics at Yale School of Medicine. He earned his MD and PhD at Yale. The National Academy of Medicine (NAM) is one of three academies that make up the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Current members elect new members through a process that recognizes people who have made major contributions to the advancement of the medical sciences, health care and public health.
Jacinta Siegman, RN, MSN, recently received the GI Nurse Award for 2022 from the Connecticut Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates. Siegman joined Yale New Haven in 2012 in Gastroenterology and became assistant patient services manager for Endoscopy at the Saint Raphael Campus in 2021. She earned her BSN from Chamberlain University and her MSN in nursing education from the University of Phoenix.
