YNHH’s 2021 United Way campaign is under way

Yale New Haven Hospital kicked off the 2021 United Way campaign Nov. 1 with an appeal to employees from Keith Churchwell, MD, YNHH president, to consider supporting the campaign.

“Each year, we partner with United Way of Greater New Haven to make a difference in the lives of families and individuals across our region,” Dr. Churchwell said in his appeal. “Yale New Haven Hospital and United Way share the same vision of creating stronger, more equitable communities where all families can live to their full potential. Our participation in the annual United Way campaign is an important demonstration of our commitment to this vision.”

YNHH has been a longtime supporter of United Way of Greater New Haven, which helps local service agencies working to ensure, among other goals, that children are educated and families are stable and secure.

Because of Yale New Haven Hospital’s support last year, United Way was able to help our communities through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, including:
  • Providing families and individuals with healthy food, safe housing and supplies to protect their health
  • Nurturing children and youth during the upheaval of the pandemic
  • Delivering financial support and resources to people who lost jobs and income due to the pandemic.
YNHH United Way campaign co-chairs are Antonietta Hallet, simulation development strategy specialist, SYN:APSE Center; and Lynda Pasquarella, communications and logistics coordinator, Human Resources .
