The American Heart Association and American Medical Association have recognized Yale New Haven Health’s Heart and Vascular Center (HVC) with the Gold+ for Target: BP achievement award. This award recognizes HVC outpatient locations, staffed by Yale Medicine and Northeast Medical Group providers, that demonstrate a commitment to blood pressure measurement accuracy and have high blood pressure controlled in 70 percent or more of their affected adult patients. Target: BP aims to reduce the number of U.S. adults who have heart attacks and strokes by urging physician practices, health systems and patients to prioritize blood pressure control.
Employees are invited to donate to the hospital’s United Way campaign, which runs through January 2024. YNHH has been a longtime supporter of United Way of Greater New Haven, which helps local service agencies working to ensure, among other goals, that children are educated and families are stable and secure. This year’s goal is $140,000. Employees may make an ongoing donation through payroll deduction (sign up on Infor) or a one-time donation by credit card. If you are currently a donor and do not make any changes, your pledge remains the same.
