Thank you to the 1,882 people who responded to the 2016
Bulletin reader survey. Overall results were positive and included some excellent feedback and suggestions. This input will help Marketing and Communications ensure that the newsletter is informative and meets the needs of employees throughout Yale New Haven Hospital. They will also help guide the newsletter redesign that will occur this spring. Survey results included:
- 62 percent of respondents prefer an emailed copy of The Bulletin with a link to the YNHH website; 38 percent prefer paper copies. The hospital will continue to provide both.
- 88.7 percent said articles are just the right length; 74.1 percent said The Bulletin has just the right number of photos
- Topics readers said they find most interesting and informative include: new and existing hospital programs and services, HR programs and benefits, patient safety and care quality and the patient experience.
Suggestions included featuring more articles on departments and staff, to help people throughout the organization get a view of what's going on outside their areas.
The Bulletin will continue to run "a look at" features that cover both clinical and non-clinical departments and staff.
Survey results also indicated that more employees want access to The Bulletin. For the electronic version, employees can visit the YNHH employee intranet and click The Bulletin link to read current and past issues. To receive the newsletter by email, employees can visit The Bulletin page, scroll to the bottom and enter an email address in the sign-up field.
To get the paper version of
The Bulletin to more employees, Marketing and Communications will mail copies to additional hospital locations outside the York Street and Saint Raphael campuses. For employees on those two campuses, see the list of current
Bulletin rack locations. Racks may be added and/or moved to ensure they're more accessible.
