Diversity and Inclusion offers e-learning while in-person classes on hold
Four diversity and inclusion electronic (e-learn) classes are available for employees to take on their YNHHS or remote computers. Additionally, physicians, providers and social workers can earn continuing education credits for completing any of the e-learn courses. Available e-learn classes are:
- Gender Identity – covers what gender identity is, terms used to describe gender identity, how to ask patients to provide this information and how to capture the information in Epic
- Anyone Can Be An Ally - examines issues facing LGBTQ employees and how behaviors can create an unwelcoming work environment
- Ouch! That Stereotype Hurts - provides techniques and communications skills for promoting inclusion and respect in the workplace
- Defeating Unconscious Bias - addresses hidden biases that can affect hiring, promoting and team building and thwart creating a fair and inclusive workplace
