In partnership with Connecticut Foodshare, Bridgeport Hospital hosts a biweekly mobile food distribution every other Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:15 pm at 200 Mill Hill Ave. Food distribution will continue through the remainder of the year on Nov. 15, Nov. 29, Dec. 13 and Dec. 27. On Monday, Nov. 20, expectant parents are invited to attend a virtual Parent Tour of the birthing rooms, labor and delivery, and postpartum units at Bridgeport Hospital. Attendees will receive a link to an eight-minute video that they can watch at their leisure.
The Understanding Sibling Preparation e-Class teaches parents how to support their child in becoming a big brother or sister, answer tough questions and reduce jealousy. To encourage siblings-to-be, there are fun lessons to do together, complete with kid-friendly video clips, coloring pages and activities. The class will be held Friday, Dec. 1, from noon to 1 pm. The online fee is $25.
