The Heart Institute at Bridgeport Hospital Announces New Name

Thanks to the heartfelt generosity of Joel E. Smilow (left) of Southport, Bridgeport Hospital’s expert cardiac care treatments and services now have a new name: Joel E. Smilow Heart Institute.

In 2007, a major gift from Mr. Smilow supported the creation of Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven which, like Bridgeport Hospital, is a part of the Yale New Haven Health System.
