Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to dominate the daily headlines. Most patients with confirmed COVID-19 have had mild symptoms, but the virus can cause severe respiratory illness in some patients. Symptoms including fever, cough and shortness of breath may appear two to 14 days after exposure. If you experience these symptoms and need medical attention, it’s important to call your healthcare provider’s office first before visiting to reduce the risk of transmitting the virus to others.
