NEMG opens new multispecialty center in Westport
Westport area residents have access to a range of new and enhanced medical services, with the opening of the Northeast Medical Group (NEMG) multispecialty center at 327 Riverside Avenue in Westport.
“We are thrilled to expand our ability to care for existing patients and new ones here in our fully renovated multispecialty center in Westport,” said Prathibha Varkey, MBBS, president and CEO, NEMG.
The NEMG multispecialty center is located in an existing two-story building, recently remodeled to house the Westport Family Medicine offices of Steven Benaderet, MD, and his practice partners Jaime Leahy, MD, and Amanda Zygmant, APRN. Growth of the practice led NEMG and Dr. Benadaret to seek a larger space for its offices.
Dr. Benadaret and his partners will be joined at the center by a number of specialty physicians, who will hold office hours on alternating days each week beginning in early 2019. Specialty practices will include endocrinology, cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonary and urology.
Another onsite service that makes the Westport center more convenient for patients is a blood draw and lab station operated by Bridgeport Hospital.
“Westport Family Medicine has been tremendously successful in treating every patient like family, and is consistently ranked highly in patient satisfaction,” said Chris O’Connor, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Yale New Haven Health. “There’s room for the practice to grow in its new space, and we hope to add additional primary care doctors to meet demand.”
