Connecticut, of late, has had among the lowest coronavirus transmission rates of any state in the country. Public health experts view this as a sign that our efforts to reduce transmission of coronavirus have been effective. This does not mean it is time to relax our standards — but rather that we will continue to practice precautions that are working.
At Northeast Medical Group, all of our sites across Connecticut, as well as those in Rhode Island and New York, are open. We are working closely with the hospitals of Yale New Haven Health, which are open and safely resuming procedures and surgeries. Our emergency departments remain vigilant, ready to provide you with the expert care you need when faced with a life-threatening illness or injury while keeping infection prevention at the forefront.
Our primary care physicians and specialists particularly welcome you to resume the care that is so important to keeping you healthy. It is especially important to avoid delaying care for both urgent and longstanding conditions. We have seen locally and nationally that people have endured complications from heart attacks, strokes and other conditions because they put off seeking care when they really needed it. Please don’t delay care. With Northeast Medical Group and Yale New Haven Health, your access to world-class care has never been safer.
We continue to be available for you, through face-to-face visits or video visits when those suit your needs better.
Yours in good health,
Prathibha Varkey, MBBS, MPH, MHPE, MBA President and Chief Executive Officer Northeast Medical Group |
