On Nov. 19, Rayquan Livingston, Food and Nutrition, walked down the newly renovated Ambulatory building corridor that runs between the George Street Garage entrance and Verdi building at the Saint Raphael Campus. OK. A corridor might not sound that exciting, but this transformation of an otherwise pedestrian (pardon the pun) component of the building creates a more inviting entrance for patients, visitors and employees. Signs indicate where the stained-glass windows from the previous corridor will be reinstalled in the coming months, following a plan approved by the Catholic Heritage Foundation. The Ambulatory corridor is an example of the extensive renovation projects taking shape at the SRC. These include new Heart and Vascular Center and Diagnostic Radiology spaces and a much-needed Emergency Department expansion and renovation project.
