In recognition of Heart Month in February, Yale New Haven Health’s Heart and Vascular Center (HVC) will be featured in videos, articles and social media posts to educate employees and the public about heart health and heart conditions.
By Feb. 1, YNHHS will launch ynhhs.org/smarthearts (not active yet), web pages that will include videos and articles with HVC experts on topics such as heart failure, atrial fibrillation and COVID-19’s effects on the heart. YNHHS’ social media pages also will feature information and tips on heart health throughout February.
On National Wear Red Day 2021, Friday, Feb. 5, YNHHS social media pages will include photos of employees showing their support for heart health.
In addition, all are invited to this year’s Go Red for Women digital event, “The Beat Goes On: Rediscover the Rhythm in Your Life,” 6 pm Thursday, Feb. 11.
The event will feature a keynote address, survivor story, fundraising appeal, silent auction and educational information. To attend, call Todd Boe at the American Heart Association, 203-295-2941. For information about Go Red for Women, visit www.goredforwomen.org.
