Adam Ackerman, MD, FACP, has been named Yale New Haven Health’s medical director for Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs. Dr. Ackerman joined Yale New Haven Hospital as a hospitalist in 2015 and is continuing in that role. He is also associate director of Hospital Medicine at YNHH; physician lead and co-chair of the Opioid Stewardship Program at Yale New Haven Health; and assistant clinical professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Ackerman earned his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and completed an internal medicine residency in the U.S. Air Force. He was recently honored by the American College of Physicians with an invited fellowship.
Samuel Buck, MD, a faculty member of the Yale Center for Healthcare Simulation, recently received the Early Career Educator Award from the international Society for Simulation in Healthcare’s Emergency Medicine Section. Dr. Buck is assistant professor of emergency medicine and director of medical student simulation at Yale School of Medicine (YSM). He earned his MD at Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency at YSM.
