#GiveHealthy food drive runs through March 31

YNHHS’ fourth online #GiveHealthy food drive is under way and runs until March 31. Employees and medical staff can donate to hunger-relief organizations in the different communities the health system serves by visiting https://ynhhs.org/givehealthy. #GiveHealthy provides an online platform for hunger-relief organizations to set up “registries” listing items they need. Because the food will ship from suppliers directly to these organizations, you can purchase healthy food items, including fresh produce. For more information, visit YNHHS’ GiveHealthy site, or contact Augusta Mueller, [email protected] or 203-688-3862.

YNHHS earns national transcatheter valve certification

Yale New Haven Health’s Heart and Vascular Center is the first and only health system in Connecticut to receive Transcatheter Valve Certification by the American College of Cardiology. Recent recertification at Yale New Haven Hospital and initial certification at Bridgeport Hospital affirm the expertise, quality and safety of care, and outstanding patient outcomes. Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) is a minimally invasive procedure to replace the aortic valve in patients with aortic stenosis – a condition where the valve is narrowed and does not fully open.
