Popular program will offer something for everyone
Spring is in the air, which means it’s almost time for Yale New Haven Health’s 2024 Know Your Numbers (KYN) Plus program. The popular program, refreshed with new personal choice activities and other features, offers something for everyone.
As in years past, benefits-eligible employees will have the opportunity to earn premium credit – up to $500 – toward their 2025 YNHHS Medical Plan – and much more.
“We heard you,” said Melissa Turner, senior vice president and chief human resources officer, YNHHS. “Based on your feedback, we have made some important changes to the KYN program. Once employees know their numbers, they can now take appropriate next steps toward their health goals, as part of the ‘Next Step Consult.’”
Also new this year, employees must complete both the biometric screening and health assessment to earn $300 toward the $500 maximum premium credit. Biometric screenings measure blood pressure, total cholesterol, height, weight and body mass index, while the health assessment is a questionnaire that measures an individual’s health status, risks and habits. Next Step Consult, available after completing the biometric screening and health assessment, will provide employees with personalized recommendations to address their health risks and direct individuals to resources that are best suited for their personal wellness goals.
To participate in the program, employees must register on the Virgin Pulse platform. To enroll in Virgin Pulse, visit join.virginpulse.com/ynhhs. If already enrolled, employees may log in to the Virgin Pulse portal through Thrive on the intranet.
Employees may also use the Virgin Pulse app to access the portal 24/7. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play. For help with Virgin Pulse, email [email protected].
In May, employees will be able to register for a biometric screening at a location of their choice and log their personal choice activities as they work toward their premium credits for the 2025 YNHHS Medical Plan. Complete details about the 2024 KYN program will be shared with the official launch in May, with biometric screenings running in June, July and August.
