From May 4 - 13, Yale New Haven Health will hold its first-ever “10 Days of Gratitude” to honor the more than 30,000 employees and medical staff who make up our health system.
The celebration will include Nurses Week, May 6 - 12, Hospital Week, May 7 - 13, and YNHHS’ Week of Gratitude, previously held in March.
“Whether they work in clinical or non-clinical roles, people who choose to work in health care do so because they want to make a difference in the lives of patients, their families and the community,” said Denise Morris, vice president, Inclusion, Belonging and Employee/Labor Relations, YNHHS. “We appreciate our employees’ dedication every day, but the 10 Days of Gratitude celebration gives us the opportunity to illuminate and publicly thank them for the amazing work they do.”
During the 10 days, YNHHS and each delivery network will continue traditional activities such as rounding, the blessing of the hands, sweet treats and more. New, health system-wide activities are also being planned, so watch for future communications with details and schedules!
