YNHH completes weeklong Magnet site visit

Thank you to everyone who supported Yale New Haven Hospital’s Magnet site visit March 29 - April 2, including this team of enthusiastic Magnet guides. Due to COVID precautions, Magnet appraisers with the American Nurses Credentialing Center had to conduct their visit via Zoom. The guides used iPads on wheels and other technology to help appraisers connect with people and view many inpatient and outpatient areas throughout the hospital. The YNHH nurses, physicians, leaders and staff members who met with Magnet appraisers did an amazing job of conveying the hospital’s commitment to nursing excellence and quality patient outcomes. The ANCC is expected to decide in the coming months, when its Magnet commission meets, to determine whether YNHH will receive its third Magnet recognition.
