Stroke program earns national honor
The American Stroke Association recently announced that Yale New Haven Hospital’s and Yale School of Medicine’s Stamp Out Stroke program has received a Stroke Hero Award in the Group Heroes category. This national honor recognizes the program’s work in community outreach focused on stroke awareness and education. Ranisha Parker, RN, outreach and integration nurse coordinator, YNHH Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center, is among the nurses, physicians, residents and students who participate in Stamp Out Stroke activities.
