In a momentous occasion on June 25, 1993, Yale New Haven Hospital, state and local leaders joined hundreds of others to officially open Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital. To mark YNHCH’s milestone birthday, staff, patients, families and the community will be invited to join in a series of events throughout this year.
The Children’s Hospital’s growth and accomplishments have been truly remarkable, as it has evolved to become Connecticut’s largest and most comprehensive provider of pediatric care. With 212 licensed beds and campuses in New Haven and Bridgeport, YNHCH has two Neonatal Intensive Care Units, a Pediatric ICU, Pediatric Cardiac ICU, 24-hour Pediatric Emergency Department and Pediatric Surgery Center. YNHCH also has an expansive network of locations spanning the state, including Pediatric Specialty Centers in New Haven, Greenwich, New London, Norwalk, Old Saybrook and Trumbull. Each location is staffed by Yale Medicine pediatric experts who provide advanced care close to home for patients and their families.
Watch for future communications about upcoming birthday celebrations that will honor YNHCH’s three decades of service to children and families.
