New fund helps cover non-tuition expenses for nursing students

With a significant donation from a grateful patient, Yale New Haven Hospital has created the Game Changer Fund to help nursing students with non-tuition expenses such as transportation, child care, food and housing. Supported by the Platt Family, the Game Changer Fund is for YNHH employees pursuing an associate degree or bachelor's degree in nursing. The fund is designed to remove some of the barriers that make it difficult for nursing students to stay in school, especially if they’re working full time.
