Tara Sanft, MD; Scott Huntington, MD, MPH
Tara Sanft, MD, has been appointed chief patient experience officer for Smilow Cancer Hospital. In this new role, she will work with Yale New Haven and Yale Medicine leaders to continue building on Smilow’s patient- and family-centered environment. Dr. Sanft will also focus on the provider experience to build an efficient practice environment and foster a culture of wellness. Dr. Sanft is director of the Smilow Survivorship Clinic and associate professor of Medicine (Medical Oncology), Yale School of Medicine. She earned her MD from Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency training and her fellowships in hematology/ oncology and hospice and palliative medicine at Northwestern University.
Scott Huntington, MD, MPH, has been named medical director of Smilow Cancer Hospital’s Hematology Outpatient Program. He is an assistant professor of Medicine (Hematology) at Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Huntington earned his MD and master’s in public health from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his medical residency at Vanderbilt University and his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Huntington also holds a master of science in health policy from the University of Pennsylvania.
