YNHHS reminds employees enrolled in a health system medical plan of the new infertility benefit now available.
In response to employee feedback, YNHHS in January rolled out an enhanced infertility benefit that provides improved coverage for employees who use Yale Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Center, as well as YNHHS Outpatient Pharmacy Services. Employees who use these providers receive 100 percent coverage up to a lifetime maximum of $10,000 for medical; 100 percent up to a lifetime maximum of $4,000 for freezing and transferring embryos; and 100 percent up to a lifetime maximum of $2,000 for prescription medications.Employees who choose to use other providers – whether for medical or prescription medications – are eligible for the Tier II (Anthem PPO) benefit. The Anthem PPO benefit provides access to all other Anthem PPO providers. The Tier II coverage has not changed and provides a benefit of 50 percent up to a lifetime maximum of $8,000.
