Typically, May at Yale New Haven Health includes the rollout of the Know Your Numbers (KYN) Plus employee wellness program. Due to COVID-19, the program will begin a little later this year. KYN Plus 2020 is scheduled to launch July 6 and run through early October.
This year’s program will also look a bit different, although benefits-eligible employees will still be able to earn up to $500 in credit toward their 2021 medical benefits premiums.
“This pandemic, and its impact on our health system, state, country and across the globe, has made us more aware than ever of the importance of good health, resiliency and self-care,” said Kevin Myatt, chief human resources officer. “YNHHS is committed to offering employees the opportunity to engage in programs that support their health and well-being.”
Along with the launch of KYN Plus, the health system will introduce Virgin Pulse, its new online wellness portal, available to all YNHHS employees.
Virgin Pulse will replace the Red Brick portal as the platform for KYN Plus participation. Moving forward, the platform will be used for more than KYN Plus. As another enhancement to YNHHS’ employee wellness initiatives, Virgin Pulse will offer tools and resources to be used year-round to support employee health and well-being.
“The Know Your Numbers program and the tools that will be available to employees through Virgin Pulse come at a great time and will provide a valuable combination of resources to help employees thrive,” said Myatt.
Next month, YNHHS will share detailed information on the KYN Plus 2020 program and how to register on the new Virgin Pulse portal. Watch for more information in upcoming editions of The Bulletin.
