Kevin G. Billingsley, MD; Jessica Scott, MPH
Kevin G. Billingsley, MD, has been named chief medical officer of Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center (YCC) and professor of surgery at Yale School of Medicine, effective in January. In this role, he will be responsible for clinical cancer care across YCC and Smilow, as well as clinical program development for cancer services throughout Yale New Haven Health. Dr. Billingsley will join Smilow and YCC from Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU), where he is medical director of the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, chief of Surgical Oncology and the Hedinger Professor of Surgical Oncology. He is an international leader in the clinical care and research of hepatobiliary cancers, and serves as co-director of the Liver Tumor Program at OHSU. Dr. Billingsley trained in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he was administrative chief fellow. He graduated from Stanford University and earned his MD from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Jessica Scott, MPH, has been named director of Clinical Operations, Yale New Haven Health System. In this role, she will help drive the clinical care signature across the system. Scott joined Yale New Haven Hospital in 2012 and most recently served as director of Quality Services for YNHHS. She earned her BS in health policy and administration from The Pennsylvania State University and her master’s in public health from Yale School of Medicine.
