Open enrollment Monday, Oct. 26 - Friday, Nov. 13

This year, all YNHH director-level and above employees, along with HSC and NEMG employees, will participate in a pilot of a new paperless open enrollment process. Rather than receive an enrollment kit, these employees will use an online portal to access all open enrollment materials and enroll in benefits. More information, including a postcard with instructions, will be mailed later this month.

Other YNHH employees and employees at the Grimes Center and Bridgeport and Greenwich hospitals will continue to receive the "Your Health Care Benefits Connection for 2016" booklet with information summarizing covered benefits and related premium costs. It will be mailed to homes in late October.

During open enrollment, all benefits-eligible employees must visit www.ynhhsbenefits.com to enroll for medical coverage and other benefits, or to participate in a medical or childcare Flexible Spending Account. Employees must enroll online for benefits during open enrollment or their medical coverage will default, and they will be assessed the "tobacco usage" surcharge of $20 per person, per pay period.

While enrolling, employees must certify that their dependents continue to be eligible for healthcare coverage in 2016 and should verify that their beneficiaries for group life coverage are correct.

Employees may enroll online at work or home. If you have questions about the 2016 benefits program, contact the new HRConnect benefits service center, 844-543-2147, or visit the self-help portal, www.ynhhs.org/hrconnect. Local HR offices will no longer assist with open enrollment or benefits questions. Employees needing assistance with computer access should speak with their manager or local HR department.

Benefit fairs: Stop by to get more information from representatives from YNHH Benefits, Anthem, Aetna, CVS Caremark, Delta Dental, Vision Service Plan, Crosby Benefit Systems, Fidelity Investments and Mercer Voluntary Benefits. YNHHS programs and services will also be represented, including Employee and Family Resources, livingwell CARES, the livingwell Fitness Center, Lifeline emergency response system, MDLIVE and the new Bright Horizons online resource.
