Yale New Haven Health’s Institute for Excellence is accepting applications for Women in Leadership: Class of 2019 Lean In. Participants will gain new leadership skills; the ability to identify career-development opportunities; techniques for mitigating challenges women executives face; and the commitment to communicate, teach and provide development opportunities to other women. Yale New Haven Health has earned the American Health Information Management Association’s highest honor, the 2108 Grace Award for excellence in health information management (HIM). The award honors organizations for strong data governance and innovative use of health data analytics. YNHHS’ HIM department was recognized for extensive efforts in coding and clinical documentation improvement; business analytics to support clinical, financial and operational decisions; patient engagement; and implementing an enterprise information governance program. The award, presented Sept. 24 at the AHIMA annual convention in Miami, is named for AHIMA founder Grace Whiting Meyers.
Yale Urology is hosting a day of men’s health screening and education activities, 5 - 7 pm Thursday, Nov. 1, Yale Physicians Building, third floor.
