Beginning this month, select departments will test new photo ID badges and time clocks before they are rolled out to the rest of the hospital.
The hospital rollout is scheduled to begin later this month for new clock installation and in December for new badges. The project will be phased in by locations over several months. Employees should NOT go to the Photo ID office for a new badge.
Instructions on when, where and how to get a new badge will be provided to employees in each location at the appropriate time.
At right is an image of the new badge, which will be standard for all Yale New Haven Health System delivery networks. New badges will include:

- Badge number and expiration date
- Employee's photo and name (as it appears on the employee's pay stub)
- Employee's official job title and credentials (only credentials related to licenses granted by the State of Connecticut and relevant to patient care, including but not limited to: MD, RN, PA, RT, PT, PharmD, LCSW)
