YNHH’s Center for Nutrition and Wellness is offering “Live Well and Lose It,” a weight-management program for employees and their adult dependents that is covered under the Yale New Haven Health System benefits plan with no copay or deductible. The eight-week program includes two individual meetings with a registered dietitian and six, 30-minute classes on topics such as best food choices, portions, dining out and staying motivated. Nurses throughout Yale New Haven Health System are invited to submit abstracts for poster presentation at the 11th Janet Parkosewich Nursing Research Conference, Wednesday, March 27, Yale University, West Campus. The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) recently accredited all 12 of Yale New Haven Health’s Pharmacy Residency Programs. Accreditation is the result of an enormous effort by residents, preceptors and leaders in the two PGY1 programs, at Bridgeport and Yale New Haven hospitals; and 10 PGY2 residency programs, which cover Ambulatory, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, health system administration, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Solid Organ Transplant. The non-profit, non-governmental ASHP has been accrediting pharmacy residencies since 1962.
