Maxwell Laurans, MD, has been named vice president of Surgical Services, Yale New Haven Hospital. In addition to his responsibility for perioperative operations and inpatient and Ambulatory Surgical Services at YNHH, Dr. Laurans chairs Yale New Haven Health System’s Surgical Services Executive Committee, with responsibility for advancing system standards, practices and efficiencies in surgical services. He was most recently YNHH executive director and clinical chief of Perioperative Services. Dr. Laurans earned his medical degree from Yale School of Medicine and completed his neurosurgery residency at YNHH. He earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Jeannette Bronsord, RN, DNP, has been named YNHH executive director of Surgical Services. She is responsible for inpatient and trauma services operations and serves as YNHH’s Surgical Services nursing leader for the Yale New Haven Health Office of the Chief Nurse Executive. Bronsord has 35 years of nursing leadership experience in acute and post-acute care. She joined the former Hospital of Saint Raphael in 2008 and served most recently as YNHH director of Surgical Services. Bronsord earned her BSN and MSN at Southern Connecticut State University, her MS in organizational leadership from Quinnipiac University and doctor of nursing practice in nursing leadership at the University of New Hampshire.
Victoria Dahl Vickers, RN, has been named vice president for Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs, Yale New Haven Health. She oversees YNHHS hospitals’ licensure, accreditation and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services certification and is responsible for regulatory readiness. Vickers began her career at Yale New Haven Hospital as a staff nurse in 1979 and has served in a variety of positions in nursing and Accreditation, Safety and Regulatory Affairs. She was most recently executive director for Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs, YNHHS. Vickers earned her BSN at the University of Massachusetts and MBA in healthcare management at the University of New Haven.
Adam Unger has been named director of Business Operations, Emergency Services and Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. He joined Yale New Haven Hospital in 2011 as an assistant director with Ambulatory Services and later transitioned to Financial Planning, where he supported several ambulatory services and Psychiatry. Unger was most recently assistant director of Operational Finance, Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. He earned his BS and MBA degrees from Cornell University.
