Angie Milani, RN, Rheumatology Clinic, received the Great Catch Award for mentoring with 200% accountability and practicing a questioning attitude when she heard her colleagues discussing a medication dose for a patient. She cross-checked her teammates and further validated and verified the dosage, which was adjusted.
York Street Campus
Liz Dickerson, RN, Resource Pool, was recognized for practicing a questioning attitude when a patient she was preparing for discharge appeared pale and complained of a cold feeling under his pacemaker. She brought her concern to the physician, and the patient was sent for an echocardiogram. Thanks to Dickerson's great catch, the patient received the proper testing and treatment.
