Motivation and more at Special Olympics

Behind every great athlete is an entourage that works behind the scenes to help them perform at the top of their game. At the 2024 Special Olympics Connecticut Summer Games June 1 and 2, more than 235 YNHHS employees were part of that entourage. Employees volunteered at the swimming, track and field and tennis events and the Healthy Athletes tent, providing health information to athletes, delivering food and helping with arts and crafts. Events were held at Southern Connecticut State University and Fairfield University. This is the third year YNHHS has sponsored the Special Olympics, and the number of employee volunteers grows each year.
