NEW HAVEN, CT (Sept. 25, 2024) – Yale New Haven Health (YNHHS) today announced the launch of the health system’s newly branded urgent care centers with the opening of Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care in Fairfield. The new center, located 340 Grasmere Avenue, offers high-quality, friendly and professional care to residents in Fairfield and surrounding towns in Fairfield County. The Fairfield location is the first new center to open under the new Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care name, following the health system’s acquisition of PhysicianOne Urgent Care last year.

“Yale New Haven Health is very excited to launch its branded urgent care centers,” said Christopher O’Connor, CEO, YNHHS. “The opening of Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care in Fairfield marks an exciting milestone as we continue to advance access to high-quality, same day access to urgent care services throughout Connecticut.”

Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care, previously known as PhysicianOne Urgent Care, goes beyond the traditional urgent care model, providing on-demand, convenient care to help patients navigate complicated health care issues. As one of the only providers to offer locally staffed, 24/7 telehealth, Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care enables patients to speak with experienced medical providers anywhere, anytime. With a high-touch, personalized approach to urgent care, Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care helps patients coordinate and access care beyond their visit by communicating with primary care physicians and coordinating specialist care when necessary.

“As we approach cold and flu season, individuals and families need access to reliable, professional care to help them stay healthy and on track with their busy schedules,” said Jeannie Kenkare, MD, president of Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care. “We’re proud to expand our services into Fairfield and ensure the community has a trusted partner for all of their non-emergent healthcare needs. We are excited to be a part of the YNHHS family and look forward to welcoming the Fairfield community to our new center.”

From illness and injury treatment to rapid PCR testing for COVID-19, RSV and the flu, to X-ray services, Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care is a trusted community medical partner. The Fairfield location will be open 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 5 pm on weekends and holidays. Patients can walk in or reserve an in-person or virtual telehealth appointment online.
