Yale New Haven Hospital names Beth Heinz senior vice president, Women’s and Children’s Services

NEW HAVEN, CT (Sept. 19, 2024) – Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) today announced the appointment of Beth Heinz, MHA, MSW, to senior vice president, Women’s and Children’s Services at YNHH. In this role, Beth will be responsible for strategy, operations, clinical care delivery, and standards of practice spanning all women’s and pediatric inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Heinz joins YNHH from M Health Fairview, the academic health system affiliated with the University of Minnesota where she oversees women’s and children’s services for the entire Fairview health system, as well as mental health and addiction services. At Fairview, she grew pediatric surgical and inpatient services, implemented 24/7 tele-NICU services to all system hospitals for improved neonate outcomes. She also helped launch an innovative approach to emergency mental health care at Fairview emergency departments that helped guide patients safely through an active crisis while helping them develop skills to manage future challenges. 

Heinz earned a master’s degree in social work from University of Michigan and later earning a master’s in Healthcare Administration from University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
