YNHHS standardizes office products
As part of Yale New Haven Health’s Strengthening Our CORE efforts, we have standardized office products available to order through W.B. Mason. YNHHS’ Corporate Supply Chain worked with W.B. Mason to review and vet products and identify alternative, more cost-effective options for many items. This will result in savings of $441,000 a year and bring other benefits. For example, departments can now order water coolers versus bottled water – a change that reduces waste and is more environmentally friendly. Available products appear in the product list.
Teams across YNHHS are working to reposition the health system for the future by focusing on strategic priorities through a systemwide initiative called Strengthening Our CORE (Collaboration, Optimization, Resiliency, Efficiency). Multiple workstreams have been designed to improve operational efficiencies; foster innovation; and improve quality and safety for patients and employees.
