YNHHS Rolls Out New Stretchers, Wheelchairs

Patients probably don’t think much about the stretchers and wheelchairs that help get them from one place to another. But new equipment at Yale New Haven Health includes advanced features to enhance patient comfort and reduce physical strain for hospital staff. From left, Rashien Allen, patient transport supervisor, Larry Cooper, lead patient transport associate and Yolanda Sydnor, patient transport supervisor, prepared one of 41 new stretchers and two wheelchairs at the York Street Campus. The Saint Raphael Campus also received 49 new stretchers as part of a multi-year initiative to replace this equipment at all Yale New Haven Health delivery networks.
