Gail W. Kosyla, MBA, has been named Yale New Haven Health chief financial officer (CFO), effective Nov. 28. Kosyla has been with RWJBarnabas Health (RWJBH) since 2019, most recently serving as executive vice president of System Financial Operations.

Kosyla has broad experience in senior roles at a number of highly respected regional and national health systems. Before becoming executive vice president at RWJBH, she was that system’s CFO for its central region. From 2012 to 2019, she was CFO and senior vice president of strategy at Hunterdon Healthcare System in New Jersey.
Kosyla began her healthcare career at Catholic Health Initiatives/Catholic Health East in Pennsylvania. She served as executive vice president and CFO at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, NJ, and senior vice president and CFO at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA. These hospitals are now part of Trinity Health.
Kosyla earned her master’s degree in healthcare finance and her master’s in business administration from Temple University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is a certified public accountant and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
