Judy Kanoff didn’t have to submit a resume to land a job in Accounting at what was then Grace New Haven Hospital. She was still a student at Hillhouse High School in New Haven when she was asked to submit her report card to the hospital. Based on that, she was hired immediately after graduating – in 1960. On Feb. 13, Kanoff, senior accounts payable representative, Corporate Finance, retired after 57 years at Yale New Haven. Hundreds of health system leaders and staff, family members, friends and retired colleagues gathered at Medical Center South Feb. 6 to wish Kanoff well. Over the years, Kanoff has experienced countless changes– she used to type out checks on a manual typewriter – but, as Robert Nelson, manager, Financial Transactions, pointed out, her exceptional customer service has been constant. Kanoff (seated, middle), also celebrated with her Corporate Finance colleagues with a lunch at Brazi’s Italian Restaurant.
