Calling on all YNHH colleagues to join May 2 Heart Walk

The Heart and Vascular Center (HVC) invites colleagues to join one of YNHH’s walk teams at the American Heart Association’s 33rd Annual Greater New Haven Heart Walk will take place at 9 am Saturday, May 2, Savin Rock, West Haven. The event is rain or shine.

The Heart Walk co-chair is Christopher M. O’Connor, YNHHS executive vice president and chief operating officer. The YNHH Heart and Vascular Center is a walk sponsor and, with Yale University and Yale School of Medicine, has set a $75,000 fundraising goal. The walk will feature kids’ activities, health screenings and information, healthy snacks and lunch. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. YNHHS participants will each receive a T-shirt. To register for the walk, visit the New Haven Heart Walk and choose Yale New Haven Hospital as the company. There is no registration fee or fundraising minimum. If you are unable to walk that day, please consider making a donation. For more information, contact Todd Boe of the American Heart Association, 203-295-2941, or [email protected].

Infor change makes finding and accessing assignments easier

A recent update to the Infor Learning Management System provides employees with an improved interface that puts assigned learning courses front and center, making it easier to manage assignments and launch courses. User dashboards now feature the My Assignment To-Do List, which displays assigned courses according to due date. The most urgent courses will be displayed at the top of the list. Users can also launch their assigned courses with a single click. Visit Infor from the YNHHS intranet to learn more.
