Information Technology Services has scheduled an Epic upgrade for April 14. The upgrade is designed to save time and improve efficiency by incorporating a number of changes in response to user feedback. These include less clicking and scrolling and easier access to important information in one place. The upgrade is the first step toward regular Epic upgrade schedules, which mean less downtime and disruption. To prepare for the upgrade, Epic users should undergo role-specific training, available at epic.ynhh.org.
YNHH will accept applications for advanced practice nursing (APRN) scholarships April 1 - 30. Apply online through Infor; click “Quick Links” and “YNHH Scholarship Application” for the Marna P. Borgstrom and Peter N. Herbert, MD, Yale New Haven Hospital Advanced Nursing Education Scholarships. The scholarships provide tuition assistance of up to $10,000 annually to qualified employees working toward advanced nursing education to meet requirements for an APRN license. Yale New Haven Hospital’s annual Take Your Child to Work (TYCTW) Day will be Thursday, April 25 at the York Street and Saint Raphael campuses. Registration forms for each location will be available April 1 - 19 on the YNHH employee intranet. The event is limited to YNHH employees’ children between ages 8 and 14. Enrollment is first-come, first-served. The YSC will have two TYCTW sessions: 8:30 am - noon and 1 - 4:30 pm. The SRC will also have two sessions: 8:30 - 11 am and 1 - 3:30 pm. Parents may apply for either session on either campus for their child.
